Combination of Scandinavian aesthetics and timeless craftmanship
Our Story
Patti Oslo is a Norwegian eco-conscious lifestyle brand committed to nurturing children's world of imagination. We design nostalgic, minimalistic, and inspiring handcrafted toys, combining Scandinavian design with traditional craftsmanship techniques. We are devoted to creating timeless pieces with durable materials that will be passed down and cherished for generations.
Every one of our collections is created in our studio in Oslo, and we fulfill all orders from our warehouse in Denmark.
We aim to inspire people, both today and in the future, to make mindful choices that benefit the planet. We are continually refining my approach to design, with an emphasis on sustainability. Drawing from cherished childhood memories and the joy of our loved children, we blend modern Scandinavian aesthetics with artisanal craftsmanship to craft something truly unique. As a family-owned company, we focus on creating products that are made to last, knowing that the best things in life are meant to be treasured.

Childhood memories
My childhood memories have always stayed with me. During summer holidays, I would make bracelets from embroidery thread and sell them to neighbors for ice cream money. Growing up in a creative family, with my mother crocheting and my father enjoying carpentry, I learned to craft with my hands. Driven by a passion for the arts and photography, I earned a degree in fine arts. While studying in Berlin, I traveled to see a John Cage exhibition at the Henie Onstad Museum, where I met my husband. After years of a long-distance relationship, I moved to Oslo, uncertain of my next steps. In Grunerløkka, a neighborhood known for its popular design markets, I designed and crocheted a bunny and sold it at a local market. Store owners took notice and soon began ordering my creations. I was really happy and excited to see my creations in local shops, but soon after, the COVID pandemic hit, and everything unexpectedly stopped. This sudden change was difficult to deal with emotionally, as many others experienced the same. During this time, I had the time to reflect and think about turning my hobby into something on a larger scale. Meanwhile, I became pregnant. Encouraged by the strength of my growing baby in my belly and supported by my husband, we brought Patti Oslo to life in 2021.

Each toy is a labor of love
Orders were coming in daily, which made it challenging for me to crochet and pack them all throughout my third trimester. After doing some research, I contacted an artisan mother in Turkey. Together with her, we set up a workshop where we could train as many women as possible to crochet, offering them the opportunity to learn and earn. Thankfully, we were getting more orders, which allowed us to reach even more women and offer them the opportunity to be independent. We got in touch with the teachers at the craft workshops that the municipalities offered. We found artisans who were already skilled in crocheting and also those who were interested in learning.
We now have a team of about thirty talented female artisans whom we’re honored to support in their journey toward financial independence. It's not just about the products we create but also the social impact we're having on their lives and the communities they live in. Without them, our project wouldn’t be possible. Our products are very special because of their constant care and attention to detail. We aim to continue expanding our team through ethical and sustainable work practices.
We dedicate ourselves to making timeless pieces for your little ones.

Low-impact products
Every toy that we make is thoughtfully designed to nurture creativity and aid in the growth of infants and kids. Toys should be fun, but we thinkthey should also be tools for learning and building connections, so parents can feel secure knowing their children's playtime is purposeful and engaging. Whether sparking stories, creating adventures, or offering comfort, our designs are meant to become beloved pieces that grow with your children.
Being open and honest in our work is very crucial for us. Giving you detailed information about our low-impact products and explaining why we make them the way we do has been at the core of our values since day one. We work everyday to create sustainable and handcrafted items that you and your little ones can cherish for years to come. We are transparent, thus truly committed to the health of mother earth and ethical practices in which we take our responsibility to the environment and society seriously.
We strive to make timeless pieces for tiny hands.

A sense of slowing down
Scandinavian minimalism and clean design are at the heart of every new product we envision. Oslo, the city we live in, helps us to draw inspiration from the city’s serene neutrals and calming, wellness-enhancing tones, evoking a sense of tranquility and mindfulness. The timeless design of our handcrafted toys allows for imaginative and open-ended play.
Children can use their creativity to incorporate the toy into different scenarios, which helps them develop their imagination and problem-solving skills. At Patti Oslo, we create toys that are not only fun to play with but also contemporary and charming to fit your homes nicely. Choosing timeless, minimalist, and enduring toys for our little ones is a conscious investment we make in reducing waste and supporting the idea of a more sustainable future.
